The duo of Gbenga Adeyinka and Julius Agwu have been confirmed as hosts at the City People Entertainment awards.
Scheduled for August 7, 2011, the event holds at the new HNK event centre on Admiralty Way at the Lekki Lagos. The two comedians will be thrilling guest at the award ceremony which is in its third edition.
The events according to the organisers promises all the trappings of a first class show.
Besides the competitive categories, movie, music and comedy categories, there will also be recognition awards for some industry stake holders whose contributions have helped the growth of entertainment in Nigeria.
There are also post humors awards for five showbiz stars who died in the past one year. The recipients include the late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, CD John, Chidima Nwalaso, Alaasari and Ashley Nwosu. .
“Last year we had a large turn out. It was beyond our expectation and this year will not be a difference, so we are prepared for it. We have called for entries and very optimistic this year’s award will blow people’s mind, Dr seye Kehinde the publisher of City People posited.
To entertain guests at the award are Mo’Cheedah, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Sound Sultan and Maheeda.
