Yvonne Nelson settles rift with Movie Producers Association

We reported earlier about earnest preparations by Yvonne Nelson to make a comeback after almost a year of ban on the actress for supposedly showing insolence and indifference during a movie shoot sometime in October of 2010. In as much as the news still persisted, the veracity remained doubtful since Yvonne commented of not receiving any official notification to that effect. Well it so appears the ban was indeed effectuated although there may not have been an official written notification to the effect. The Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) and Film Regulatory Council (FRC) succeeded in enforcing the ban by curtailing all its members, as well as members of Film Producers in Nigeria to desist from featuring Yvonne in any of their production.
This cause of action has been quite a blow to Yvonne for which she did render an unqualified apology to the respective party Organizations with a written letter dated June 14th 2011. Below is the full transcript:

THE PRESIDENT
FILM REGULATORY COUNCIL
ACCRA

Dear Sir,
LETTER OF APOLOGY

I write to express my sincerest apology to Alhaji Abdul Salam Mumuni, members and executives of FIPAG and the entire film community for the misunderstanding that occurred between me and Alhaji Salam Mumuni during shooting in October last year.

I render an unqualified apology for any embarrassment that my conduct might have caused anybody. I promise such a behavior will not repeat itself again. I hope my apology will be considered.

Yours faithfully,
………………………….
YVONNE NELSON

The spokesman for FIPAG did confirm receipt of the letter and acknowledged that deliberation about a final decision will take place soon although he didn’t provide a specific date. It was on this premise therefore, and on rousing feedback that Yvonne has received which inspired her effort at promoting her image ahead of a final decision which is said to be a mere formality.
