The cause of the wafare, which jangled the university community, was still shrouded in secrecy, but a source told Vanguard that the cultists engaged themselves arising from a heated argument that erupted at a drinking spot.
Both the Delta state police spokesman, Mr. Charles Muka and the public relations officer of the university, Mr Eddy Agbure confirmed the death of two students.
Mr. Muka told Vanguard at 3.25 pm, yesterday, that he was not aware of the cause of the fight between the two groups.

Mr. Agbure also kept the names of the dead students close to his chest, saying, “The school authorities put in place measures that brought the situation under control”.
Unconfirmed sources, however, put the death toll at five, saying that one of the victims was shot in broad daylight along Ivie Road, Abraka, while a second one was shot at Oria, a suburb of Abraka. The third victim was allegedly shot at Benbo area of Abraka.
